The Art of the Invitation

It’s no doubt that some of the most iconic pop culture images are those from the early 1960′s Classic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Audrey Hepburn’s classic portrayal as the FIRST New York City Girl will forever be in our memories when it comes to fashion, music, and film.  We drew inspiration from this when creating our “Tiffany’s” Table scape,and what gal wouldn’t LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have this as her wedding theme?!?!

The ever famous Tiffany Blues were accented with little pops of Ruby and White.

Linen Hydrangeas and Fresh Red Roses are Oh-so Pretty alongside the Crystal Glasses, Ruby Red Chargers, and Bone White China.

The invitations show off with gorgeous Mystic Blues, White Micas, and Rouges accompanying handmade textured papers and fine metallic threads…

And look at the amazing cake!! It’s almost too Pretty to eat!

Table numbers were highlighted with a little sparkle of glitter…just enough to draw your guests in…

What a GORGEOUS setting would await your guests with a choice like this!

So Holly Golightly…Eat your heart out girl!  And thanks for stellar inspiration when it comes to helping us plan special events like this one!  The combination of Old Hollywood and the most famous Jeweler in the world have made for an impression that’s made us quite DIVINELY and UTTERLY HAPPY!

Well here we are…the much anticipated Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton has come and gone…

and YES, it was beautiful…and YES, Kate looked classically STUNNING…and YES, here at

 Paper Allure we DIE for tradition and “to-do”…

but all we’ve been able to think about for the past few weeks is this…

REALLY!!!!???? That’s IT????

We understand that a Royal Wedding is all about the historical  traditions that have been passed down for centuries,

BUT….THROW A MODERN GAL A BONE HERE!!!!

Pouring millions of dollars into a wedding should have yielded Dear Kate something

along the lines of these

How GREAT is it that brides in our neck of the woods get to have GORGEOUS invitations like this though?

Makes you feel proud to live in Canton and be surrounded with such amazing artists!

We LOVE being able to customize invitations to perfectly fit our clients…and how lucky is each and every bride that she’s afforded the luxury of picking out her own invites?!?!  Any other way is just a preposterous idea to us!

So Kate…Dear, Dear Princess Kate…our hearts go out to you over those naff invitations as we all know how stylish and superb your taste really is!

Couldn’t you just DIE!!!

We can’t express how amazing it is to be involved in such a special occasion on a daily basis…

we’re always quite amazed by all  the different personalities that we’re challenged

to portray in our paper arts, the range of emotions and intentions that

come into play are so inspiring! One bride may be outspoken and funky,

while the next is reserved and sophisticated! It makes for an ever

interesting day and also keeps us on our toes as far as designing and trends are concerned!

So here’s to all things beautiful and whimsical…may you all have wonderful things that inspire

you to create the life that you desire…and lots of LOVE that guides you through it!
